Hagberg\nAngela Madeksho\nVivian Rose Millikan\n\nKimberly Phillip\nAnneMarie Wallace\n\n \nOur Keynote Speaker\, Nancy A. Perrier\, MD\, is a world-renowned Endocrinologist/Surgeon at The University of Texas MDAnderson Cancer Center. Her delightfully brilliant array of wisdom is sure to truly inspire you! You won’t want to miss Dr. Perrier’s presentation:\n \nNancy Perrier\, MD\, FACS\, is a tenured surgical oncologist and a Ruth and Walter Sterling Endowed professor in the Department of Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center\, where she leads the Section of Surgical Endocrinology as chief and is associate medical director of the Multidisciplinary Endocrine Center. The section sees a high volume of patients and is regarded for excellent outcomes\, nationally funded research\, a top tier fellowship and is the hub of training endocrine surgery for fellows in Surgical Oncology\, Surgical Endocrinology\, Endocrine Neoplasia and General Surgery from several institutions. In addition\, with Dr. Perrier at the helm\, the program has grown to include multidisciplinary translational research platforms and international research trainees who extend onto productive academic and clinical surgical careers. The investigative and translation efforts have led to the development of robust multidisciplinary platforms for sporadic and hereditary endocrine neoplasia. The team has brought together an international collaborative group with the aim of identifying prognostic factors and novel therapeutics for personalized care. \nDr. Perrier’s scholarly works\, comprising more than 360 peer reviewed publications and 42 book chapters\, are largely related to her international expertise in endocrine surgery\, interest in value of care and best care algorithms. Dr Perrier has received a Master’s in Healthcare Management from Rice University’s Graduate School of Business. She is highly regarded among her peers for clinical excellence\, integrity\, initiative\, effectiveness and leadership skills. She serves in multiple capacities at MD Anderson- including value initiatives. She is a Master Surgeon Educator\, Governor of the American College of Surgeons. Nationally\, her influence extends across multiple organizations where she has served on the board. \n \nTherefore\, your donation will remain in perpetuity! This endowment is for the express purpose of Training individuals in the Didactic and Clinical Phases which prepares them for serving as Lay Chaplains in hospitals and healthcare settings. This fund\, named for Dot Uthlaut to honor her outstanding service as a POP Lay Chaplain at Houston Methodist for 35 years! Dot embodied a commitment to this ‘ministry of hope.’ Tethered to God\, Dot’s graceful compassion paired with a keen awareness of the unspoken spiritual needs allowed patients the ability to express their spirituality through tears\, anger and a myriad of emotions. Many of her colleagues sought out her counsel for this ability of gently transforming anxiety to peace; fear to hope; doubt to faith. Like Dot’s education\, each Trainee is prepared to come alongside those coping with the healing processes of illness\, crises\, isolation\, suffering with disease\, treatment regimens and the fragile phases of end- of-life; all very sacred junctures of the human mind\, heart\, soul and body. \n\nRegisterHere\n  \n
