Balancing Through Storms
This support group encourages a way to see the weaving together of traumatic events of our lives. Oftentimes the intensity of each event can challenge our ability to breathe physically and spiritually. While sharing these junctures we will look at ways to breathe again and remember we are not alone on this journey. With resources offered, this support group is for families in the midst of crisis or post-crisis.
A safe place where your voice can be heard and shared from the “onlooker’s” perspective. When illness and suffering affect our loved ones, we want to be strong for them, but often our heart says:
- “Where did my voice go…”
- “How can God expect this of me…”
- “My loved one has changed…”
- “Who am I now…”
- “How can I see through this to the other side…”
This support group is a safe place to share your perspective and voice as the “onlooker” to your loved one’s illness and suffering.
Looking at this promise…
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him…” (Romans 8:28)
Join us as we look at our stories and even Joseph’s story, who came to the place of realizing that the only way he could accomplish something was through God’s power as shown in, “‘I cannot do it,’ Joseph replied to Pharaoh, ‘but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires,’” (Genesis 41:16).
