“Speaking to His disciples, Jesus said, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that had and bought it.” Matthew 13:45-46
If at any given moment of time, the world stood still, would we be found in any part of this process…
Seeking?
Valuing to know the finest pearl?
Selling all we have?
Purchasing that finest of pearls?
Might we suppose…being created in God’s likeness, therein lies a pearl of great price within the very human we are speaking to in any given moment of time?
Could it be awaiting our discovery, our perspective, our sacrificing of our agendas to show great value for the pearl presented to us?
Loving our neighbor begins with the reality that we are all created in His image, yes?
Jesus, the pearl of greatest value, presented to us, or “discovered” by us is worthy of our surrender!
