Balancing Through Storms

When our loved ones are suffering, we want to be strong for them, but often our heart asks:

Where did my voice go?
How can God expect this of me?
Who am I now?
How can I see through to the other side?

Oftentimes, the intensity of traumatic events can challenge us physically and spiritually. Our hope is by sharing our stories with one another, we can find comfort in knowing we are not alone on this journey. This support group offers resources for families in the midst of crisis or post-crisis and provides a safe place where your voice can be heard and shared from an onlookers perspective.

When health-crises bring about tremendous change for us, how do we cope and accept that change may bring about the healing our own heart needs?

Remember His promise

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.” (Romans 8:28)

And Joseph, who realized that he had to rely on God’s power as shown in, “‘I cannot do it,’ Joseph replied to Pharaoh, ‘but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.’” (Genesis 41:16)

Funding for this program has been generously underwritten by one of POP’s dedicated and faithful Volunteer Lay Chaplains.
