Make room for him now? Invite him now? A child to be born into my heart and home, now? If we claim we have no room, who is occupying the space we “own?”
Don’t delay, my dear friends, invite him now!
“giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created through Him and for Him…”
Continue reading Colossians, Chapter 1 and you will see why! Shall we consider Christmas, or in Portuguese, Feliz Natal, the opportunity to begin the journey again with a baby born in simple surroundings who grew and continued to capture and transform our hearts. We may once again see what power truly is! We may once again experience the ways He calls our hearts into loving Him and learning the beauty of His community with the Father and Spirit. We may replicate that community — by His Spirit, in His image, we may be sanctified together.
Invite Him again now! Empty rooms, make space in all you do! Who else can provide the most healing love for you and me? Who else would sacrifice so greatly and invite us into the deep joy of true freedom to love? Only Jesus!
Let’s return to the manger with a ceremonial invitation — take my room, Jesus, take my hammock, O Son of God — take my heart Sweet Savior as I race into your heart. Help me take this journey with you. I will bring others with me — your magnificent love is not for me alone!
Welcome Brilliant Child, Our King of Kings, we adore you. We worship you.
We love you because you first loved us. Obrigada Deus, Thank you God!!
Feliz Natal
Merry Christmas
